2018 Election: Tai loses by less than 1,000 votes (51% to 49%)

Prior to winning a special election in May, Tai spent more than four years on the Solebury Township board of supervisors. Tai earned an undergraduate degree in statistics from the University of Michigan and a graduate degree in statistics from Penn State University. Tai is the founder of Enabling Innovation, LLC, a business consulting firm in New Hope, Pennsylvania. She and her husband also own and operate Fearless Hope Aikido in New Hope, where Tai passes on the knowledge she learned while becoming a fourth-degree blackbelt.
